Tessy is globally known to be an outspoken womens’ rights activist. She speaks at conferences all over the world on her experience in the UN, her work with the military, her work with Professors Without Borders , being a working mother and her time as a Royal Princess. She addresses all these topics through the lens of womens’ empowerment.
She has been part of the new ‘Living the Life’ series 4, which is broadcast in collaboration with ITV and SKY TV in September.
She is the Patron to UNA-UK, the only charity in the whole UK addressing UN Peacekeeping, its aims and issues. As a former peacekeeper herself, she takes this role very serious and helps UNA-UK to push forward the agenda and rhetoric of Women in Peacekeeping, its importance, and relevancy in todays times.
She received the ‘Woman of the decade award’ in 2016 for her work in the domains of female empowerment.
She spoke on the stage of NASEBA on her work with VICE Impact and her military career both in Saudi Arabia at the first women economic forum and in Dubai at the women and leadership conference.
