This was my Speech in Honour of all these mazing men and women out there that enable change by providing opportunities and tools for our societies to diversify and grow.

“Princess Tessy of Luxembourg was presented with the “Woman of the Decade Creating A Better World For All” award by the All Ladies League and the Women’s Economic Forum on 31 January at the United Kingdom Women’s Economic Forum.

She has been incredibly active in supporting a variety of charities and NGOs including currently serving as a UNAIDS Global Ambassador for Young Women and Adolescent Girls. She also formed her own NGO, Professors Without Borders.

Princess Tessy is quite an accomplished young royal. She met her soon-to-be ex-husband, Prince Louis, while he was visiting the army during an official royal engagement. She had enrolled in the army at the age of 18 alongside her twin brother and undertook a voluntary mission with the United Nations to Kosovo in 2004. As the only female member of her unit, she received a UN medal of recognition.

After her six-year military career had ended, Princess Tessy attended the American International University in London where she received a BA in International Relations. She went on to obtain a master’s degree in International Studies and Diplomacy, during which she wrote a dissertation on Biological Terrorism and Non-Violent State Actors.” (Text @Royal Central)
